SYNOPSIS

Ana is a young student who left her hometown to study medicine in São Paulo. His report reveals the abandonment and neglect suffered by vulnerable groups in Brazil governed by fascism, where the media and a part of society relativize the absurd, in a spiral of trivialization and violence.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

The Discovery of the World is an independent short film, written and directed by Aguinaldo Junior.

 

The film addresses one of the biggest problems of contemporary Brazilian society, the trivialization of violence.

​

The recordings took place in São Paulo-SP and Porto Alegre-RS between October 2021 and April 2022.

 

The film was finished in July 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal.
